The Buildings
What communal spaces are there to enjoy?
While it’s great to retreat to the comfort of your private studio, it’s also really important to us that you have lots of comfortable spaces to enjoy with friends. We offer a variety of great communal spaces where you can relax and get to know your neighbours and make new friends.
Check out the individual property pages for full information, but you can expect to enjoy fully-fitted communal kitchens, gyms, cinema rooms, and games rooms, allowing you to enjoy a balance between studying, work, health, and fun.
You’ll also be able to enjoy a fully inclusive and free-of-charge social calendar – you can view the upcoming events here and sign up through your online student portal at any time.
Are overnight guests allowed to stay?
Overnight guests are permitted at Nurtur buildings. We ask that you respect our rule of welcoming guests for no more than three consecutive days.
Please note that you are responsible for any guests, including liability for any charges as a result of damages to the building caused by your guest.
Are my bills included in the rent?
Yes, all bills are included in the cost of your weekly rent so you don’t have to worry about budgeting for those. These include:
- Electricity
- Water
- Contents insurance
- High-speed broadband
- Onsite gym membership
- Bike Store
- 24/7 reception service
Can I swap/change my room?
Prior to signing your tenancy agreement, it may be possible to change the room you have selected, if a different room is available.
After you have signed your tenancy agreement, if you wish to change room and a room is available, it may be possible, however as you are making changes to your signed tenancy agreement, it would fall under the cancellation policy/tenancy transfer. Please note there will also be an admin and cleaning fee associated with the room move.
Please speak to a member of your site team and we will always be willing to try and help.
What if I have a disability or special requirements?
Nurtur Student Living’s top priority is making sure you have a comfortable and safe stay with us – please share any medical information or disabilities with us on your booking application. We have a selection of accessible rooms available, so please ensure you request this room type (DDA) and let us know of any further requirements so we can ensure your studio is suitable.
Can I have a dual occupancy tenancy?
A dual occupancy is one tenancy for two people, living in one studio. This means that two occupants are sharing one studio and splitting the cost of the rent.
This is an option on the majority of our studios – look out for the dual occupancy logo. From September 2023, there is an additional charge for a room with dual occupants; this is to cover the cost of the increased services used within the building during your stay.

If you do not have a UK guarantor, you must pay your rent in one instalment at the start of your tenancy agreement. Should you wish to use a third-party company, please note that they are in no way affiliated with Nurtur Student Living.

Please note that tenancy takeovers are at the sole discretion of the Nurtur Student Living management team and should not be assumed as automatically granted. Any decision made by the management team is final.
