Keeping your studio at Nurtur clean
May 11, 2020
It’s important to keep your studio clean and tidy to keep the space you’ve made your own a safe one. It’s not only good practise for your physical health, but for your mental health too.
That’s why your Nurtur Team has put together some useful tips to help your cleaning schedule feel like a breeze and not a mammoth task you keep putting off.
The first step that all visitors and residents of Nurtur Student Living must follow is to use the handwashing stations around the building to help minimise the transfer of bacteria into your home.
Preparation is key
Plan ahead what cleaning supplies you have and the schedule you’ll follow. Basic cleaning essentials should include antibacterial spray, gloves and cloths. Cleaning your studio regularly and effectively will help to minimise the transfer of bacteria from one area to another.
TOP TIP: Start with dry tasks first, such as dusting surfaces, before moving to tasks that include the use of products. Save vacuuming for last to collect any remaining dirt and bacteria.
Plan of action
Having a cleaning plan in place can help you to keep on top of the cleanliness of your studio. Dividing tasks into daily and weekly can make things more manageable.
Everyday
– Wipe down all surfaces with antibacterial spray, including door handles
– Wash used dishes as soon as possible
– Take out rubbish/recycling
Weekly
– Scrub bathroom with antibacterial spray
– Clean mirrors
– Wipe down all furniture and shelves
– Change bed linen
– Do your laundry
– Vacuum floors, rugs and upholstery
– Mop floors with disinfectant
– Clean microwave oven
Following these simple steps can help to reduce the spread of any bacteria in your studio, creating a safe space for you to live in.
